Chinese Braised Pork
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp blackbean chili sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- cracked pepper
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2" ginger, peeled, sliced
- 2 lb pork butt
- white rice
- Preheat the oven to 275 F.
- In an oven proof dutch oven combine the soy sauce, hoisin, blackbean chili sauce, salt, pepper, sugar and ginger. Stir well.
- Add the pork and turn a few times so that all the sides are coated in the sauce.
- Cover with aluminum foil, and then cover with a lid and place in the oven.
- Cook 5 hours.
- Serve with cooked white rice.
delicious! the sauce is very powerful so don’t serve too much of it.
