Vegan Chocolate Cake

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup cold water
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9 by 9 inch pan.
  2. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
  3. Stir in the canola oil, vinegar, vanilla, and water.  Mix well.
  4. Pour into the pan and bake 30 to 35 minutes.
  5. Cool.  Ice with your favourite icing.

    I love this recipe! It’s so easy and yummy to make! I like to top the cake with Ducan Hines homestyle vegan chocolate frosting.:)
