Iced Sour Cream Chocolate Cake
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/4 cup boiling wat
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- milk
- icing sugar
- 1 tbsp butter
- Preheat the oven to 375 F.
- Grease and flour a 9" cake pan.
- Combine the cocoa, and the boiling water. Stir.
- Beat the eggs, with the sugar and salt.
- Add the sour cream and then stir in the cocoa water.
- Mix in the flour, soda, powder, and 1 tsp vanilla.
- Turn into the prepared pan.
- Bake for about 30 to 45 minutes.
- Cream the butter with the 1/2 tsp vanilla. Stir in the icing sugar. Add milk to get the right icing consistency.
- Cool the cake and then ice. Serve.
