Buttermilk Biscuits
- 2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Preheat the oven to 425 F
- Combine the flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Cut in the butter until crumb like and then stir in the buttermilk.
- Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surgace and then knead gently 8 times.
- Roll to desired thickness and then cut into circles or squares.
- Place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Serve with butter and strawberry jam.
